Import & Export Pricing Matrix as CSV

In this article

YoPrint makes it easy to create and manage your pricing matrices. In this article, we will cover how to import and export pricing matrix as CSV

CSV Format

It's easier to explain the CSV format by using an actual example. Let's take the following table as an example.

Qty Break 1 Color 2 Color
10-24 20.00 30.00
25-50 15.00 25.00
51+ 10.00 10.00

Here is the corresponding CSV file that YoPrint will accept

qty/type 1 Color 2 Color
1 100.00 100.00
10 20.00 30.00
25 15.00 25.00
51 10.00 10.00

Minimum Order Quantity Workaround

YoPrint doesn't directly support minimum order quantity yet. All quantity breaks must start with 1, otherwise, YoPrint will not function properly. As a workaround, we recommend putting a high number, so you are aware if you are not following your minimum order quantity.

Minimum order quantity will be added in the future at which point this workaround will no longer be needed.

Uploading the CSV

For this to work, you will need to already have created a service. Just create a 1 column matrix as a placeholder. The CSV Upload will override the matrix.

  1. Navigate https://app.yoprint.com/product-service/service
  2. Click the action button on the desired row and click Upload Service
  3. Select a file to upload
  4. Once the import is complete, double-click to check the values.

What happens if the columns in YoPrint don't match your CSV?

When you upload a CSV file, YoPrint will rebuild the pricing matrix based on the file you uploaded. As a result, the previous value in YoPrint will be completely overridden by the new values. Short answer: Columns will be updated to reflect the CSV file.

Exporting the Pricing Matrix

You can also export your pricing matrix as CSV. This is useful if you prefer using spreadsheet software to update the pricing.

  1. Navigate https://app.yoprint.com/product-service/service
  2. Click the action button on the desired row and click Export as CSV
