Change a Customer in a Quote or Sales Order

In YoPrint, you can’t directly replace a customer in an existing Quote or Sales Order. This restriction prevents data inconsistencies, such as errors with customer credit.

If you need to assign the order to another customer while keeping the order details intact, the best approach is to clone the Quote or Sales Order, update the customer, and then void the original order.

Clone a quote or sales order

1. Open the order page.

2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select Clone Sales Order or Clone Quote.

Update the Customer in the Cloned Order

1. From the customer dropdown, select the correct customer (or type their name to search).

2. Fill in the relevant details, including the Bill To and Ship To sections.

3. Review and adjust shipment details:

  • Click the three-dot menu in the Shipment section and select Edit.

  • Make the necessary corrections and click Save and Close.

4. Once all information is updated, click Publish to post the new Quote or Sales Order.

Void the original order

1. Open the original order with the incorrect customer.

2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select Void Sales Order or Void Quote at the bottom.

3. Click Remove to confirm.

You now have the order correctly assigned to the right customer while keeping your records consistent.
