Apply Setup Fees to Orders
YoPrint gives you flexibility in how you apply setup fees, depending on whether you want them visible as separate charges or included in the unit price.
Option 1: Add as a separate line item
If you want the fee to appear as its own line item in the order:
1. Open the Quote or Sales Order.
2. Click + Fee.

3. Enter the name, quantity, unit price, and description.

4. Click Agree and Close.
This keeps the fee transparent to your customer.
Option 2: Add in the pricing matrix
If you’d rather hide the breakdown and roll the setup fee into the unit price, use a Flat Service:
1. From the dashboard, go to Configuration > Services.
2. Click + Service > Flat Matrix.

A flat matrix charges the fee once, regardless of the product quantity. For example:
- Setup fee: $14 per screen per job
- Two screens = $28 total setup fee

When you add this Service to the Job, the fee is distributed across products.

How the flat matrix works
The flat matrix spreads the fee across unit prices:
- Example: $14 screen setup fee on a 10-item order = +$1.40 per shirt
- Example: $14 screen setup fee on a 100-item order = +$0.14 per shirt
This keeps costs accurate while making the unit price customer-friendly.
